Hello, can you please help me with something? I have a filling in my front tooth due to an accident that happened when i was younger. Recently the filling has become discolored, so i obviously asked my dentist to redo it because it was really beginning to bother me. She said she will polish it and if it keeps going discolored to come back. i’m not being funny but the whole reason i came is because its already discolored. I feel that waiting will not do me any justice at all and it’s already making me feel very self-conscious. So i was wondering is there any reason why she wouldn’t want to redo it.. or is she just being lazy? I don’t want to have to wait weeks and weeks and the polishing didn’t seem to make any difference at all. I don’t know what to do…thanks for taking your time in reading this.

Monday, July 1st, 2013Hi, I wondered if you could help me with a dental matter please? I had my front 4 top teeth crowned some 19 years ago to improve the appearance. (my teeth were off centre as they had move to fill up a gap). They have never really felt comfortable even after all these years I am aware that they are crowned. I do not know if this is caused by the fact that they are quite ‘built up’ on the back whcih the dentist said was to make them strong. Or if it is because my bottom teeth lean back so top and botton do not rest on each other. I have the urge to bite teeth together for no reason which only causes discomfort. What are my options to improve this situation? I don’t know what to do…Thank you for any help. Regards.
My Gums Have Started To Recede, What Can I Do About This?
Monday, July 1st, 2013Hi, I was just wondering if there is any new treatment or some sort of treatment that can be used to cover my teeth when the gums have receded? Some of my gum has receded quite badly and i was wondering if there was any cosmetic treatment that could be used on teeth so as not to expose so much of the teeth which have already become sensitive? I don’t know where to start looking and I don’t even know if this type of treatment even exists so I would very much appreciate your advice. If you know how you could point me in the right direction that would be great. I don’t even know if this is a dental matter? With it being my gums? Is there some sort of specialist I will have to visit instead? Thank you in advance.

Monday, July 1st, 2013Hello, I was just wondering if you could please advise me with something? I was supposed to have braces as a teen but I opted not to as I didn’t want to get picked on for them. I wish I had toughed it out as now I’m too embarrassed to smile. All my canine teeth are way out of line, they look like a second row of teeth. My front teeth are crooked. I long for a straight smile so I can smile in photos with my children rather than hiding from the camera. Please can you tell me what the cheapest and quickest way of achieving this would be. I’m a single mum now so funds are scarce. Any advice would be great, such as general costs of braces and how long it will take for my teeth to become straight again etc. Thank you.

I’m really concerned about my teeth. First of all I absolutely hate them, as I feel my ‘fangs’ stick out and am currently looking into braces. However the teeth to inside (toward the centre of my mouth) are becoming wobbly and i’m really scared they will fall out. I’ve always had problems with my teeth and now I have 4 fillings (that are silver and not white, which I don’t know why) I’m 15 is that helps and currently really wanting braces so any other help on them would be great. I”ll be okay for receiving braces through the NHS won’t I? Is it when you’re 18 and over you have to pay for brace treatment? Otherwise I won’t be able to have anything done because I don’t have any money, I’m only a teenager! Thanks for your help.

i have lots of gaps and spaces in my teeth and they are oushed forward and i cant stand them.
i have had braces before when i was 14 they were fixed metal braces but i never finised the treatment as i lost my retainers.
i have tried my hardest not to suck my tongue to the point i get jaw ache in the morning. But i have since relapsed and my teeth have been pushed out even further.
i suck my tongue and i cannot stop. i have looked into this and i have seen there might be some sort tongue retainer i could use to train my tongue to stop pushing my teeth forward subconciously.
please would you be able to recommend treatment for me as i want braces but do not want to do braces first without trying to treat my problem first.

Is It Really Necessary For Me To Have My Teeth Removed?
Thursday, June 27th, 2013I’d like to improve the appearance of my 4 upper front teeth (molars) . One of the side ones has recently been crowned ; its alignment with the other teeth could be improved upon, but one of the centre molars is protruding, therefore it’s quite difficult. The remaining 3 upper front molars are covered in veneers which have to be replaced often due to discolouration of the white fillings. The dentist did suggest that I could crown the remaining 3 front molars. I am unsure whether I want my natural teeth removed despite ongoing discolouration of white fillings/veneers. What are the options ; my teeth are quite grey in colour : A3 I think was the colour of the recent crown.

I have a problem though, i hate the dentist I feel physically sick when going to the dentist. I have hated it for years and this is the only thing that is stoping me from thinking about this option. Would it be possible for me to have a general anaesthetic I’m hospital for the surgery?? Thursday, June 27th, 2013Hi, i have periodontitis , i have lost 5 teeth and will soon be losing a few more. I wondered if you could advise me on something please? I am 22 years old and therefore (obviously) very young and would like some advice and how to move forward. I have very little amount of gum and hardly any bone left in the areas where the teeth were taken out from. My dentist has not been very reassuring so i would like to know what i can do to save my remaining teeth and i would like to know of any procedures that are available in my situation. I am currently wearing dentures and have been for the last two years but would like something permanent.I don’t even know how I got into this predicament but it’s really getting me down. My Crown Regularly Falls Off, What Kind Of Treatment Can Replace This?
Thursday, June 27th, 2013Hi, I wondered if you could please advise me with something? My two front teeth have two crows on them one of the crowns regularly comes off and I have to go and get it glued back on from the dentist. My dentist has advised me that the post to which it is attached is too short and hence why it keeps coming off and loosening. He has recommended I have an implant put in however this is a costly process and one which I can not afford too easily at the moment, obviously I don’t want to be toothless. Are there any alternative treatments that I would be able to go ahead with in this situation? I wouldn’t mind another implant, as I said I’m slightly worried about the cost of it all.Thank you for your help in advance.
