I Have A Big Fear Of Dentists And My Teeth Are Broken, Is There Anything You Can Do To Help?

Hello Dr Shaffie, I really need to tell you that I have a big fear of dentists and my teeth are so bad I need help really urgently. I do work so can set up a payment plan. I hate smiling as I am so embarrassed to do so and it gets me down and I feel so depressed about it. I am desperate and don’t know what else to do. I am a young mum of 2 and I want to do something about it but I can’t afford too much is there anything you can do to help me? I have many teeth missing and broken teeth too. I have had bad teeth for quite a while. Please help me, and thank you for reading.

My Daughter Has Been Suffering With Bulimia And She Needs Help As She Doesn’t Want Dentures. What Can Be Done?

Hello can you please help?
My daughter has big problems with her teeth after suffering with bulimia over several years. We are trying to find a sympathetic person to help her and so far with the dentists in our region (North Wales) they have not been particularly helpful. We are not a well off family but I have offered to help her try and find somebody who is willing to look at her ~ her present dentist has suggested dentures, she is only 34 and I feel this person doesn’t really care much. She has just lost a front tooth and is absolutely mortified about it and I feel so sorry as she is a beautiful girl. Please can someone help to put the smile back on my lovely daughters face without us having to take out a mortgage to do it? With thanks.

Will I Get An Infection After My Dentist Put Cotton Wool In My Root Canal?

Hello, I need some advice, Dr Shaffie. I had a root canal done by my general dentist and while in the process of getting it done she placed a piece of cotton wool inside my tooth and covered it with a hard substance. Now my tooth is throbbing and killing me and when I bite down I feel something moving away in my tooth and it’s very painful. I asked around and I was told she was not supposed to use cotton and I that this could cause some kind of infection. I was told to go to the emergency room immediately and have them remove the cotton to avoid tooth infection. Is this really true?

Can I Get Straight, White Teeth Even If My Whitening Treatment Has Failed?

Hi, Is it possible to have a really white teeth regardless of how discolored the teeth are? I tried the teeth whitening and I wasn’t satisfied with the result, it was a total waste of time and money, My teeth still look the same and its really embarrassing. If it’s possible, what procedure would one undergo and the cost? Also, what would be the best treatment for me to have a straight teeth line, I am 33 at the moment , Is a perfect white and straight teeth line still possible? Please, let me know the best option suitable in my case. Thanks.

I have yellow teeth with stain in it from childhood my theeth is very thin. I tried many thing like various tooth paste,cleaning my teeth by dentist but no result found. It is very embracing to have teeth like this as you can imagine and it does not do anything good for me in how i live my life . It Affects my confidence when i talk to people. I do not know what should I do for this Sir,

My Teeth Are Moving As I Have Not Worn My Retainer As Instructed, What Can I Do?

I had braces on my top and bottom teeth and they were then removed after about 1-2 years. I was given clear retainers and I haven’t been following my routine for wearing retainers for my front teeth. For a while my front teeth were fine but now my right front tooth is moving closer to the left front tooth. I have a natural gap between my 2 front teeth and my dentist removed one of my molars so that my front teeth would move as my right front tooth used to go over my left front tooth. I have a small gap where my molar used to be and now a gap is being developed between my central incisor and my lateral incisor.
I have started wearing my retainers again for every night now for the last 2 weeks but my teeth are still moving.
What should I do?

I Cannot Get Finance But Need My Teeth Fixing, What Can I Do?

Dear Dr, my question is of a desperate nature. My teeth are not in very good condition through medication I was taking 13 years ago it’s having a traumatic effect on my life I’m always conscious about smiling or laughing and it deeply depresses me, I have had a look at your gallery and I must say your dental work is remarkable, my question is what treatment or dental plan could be set in place for someone like me who is a self-employed Electrical Installer and I earn around £460 a week. I have applied for finance in the past but this was declined even though I’m not in debt or have never had a bank loan, any advice you could offer would be very much appreciated I look forward to hearing from you.

I was wondering whether or not there are any discounted prices available for students/young adults that are not earning a great amount? I have been needing to fix my teeth for years now, however I haven’t been able to afford it. I have extremely low self esteem due to my teeth, it greatly affects my social life as I have no confidence to talk in front of new people, due to my crooked teeth. Fixing my teeth is a necessity, though I have no way to pay such a great amount of money. Would you kindly suggest any routes I can possibly take, without needing to pay such huge sums of money? My Part Denture Doesn’t Match My Teeth, What Can I Do?

Hi I’m 32 and have a part denture with 4 teeth and a crown that’s very bulky they don’t match my other teeth in size or colour , they’re always loose especially on a night out when I’m drinking fluids. I was hoping to have something permanent I’m currently receiving nhs but are thinking of going private because I’m really unhappy.
