Can I Get a Full Set of Veneers?

Monday, March 23rd, 2015
Q.

Hi. I currently have braces and I’m very insecure about my teeth. I wanted to know about having a full set of veneers? I just wondered if that’s possible and how much it would be. I recently had my braces fitted and had 6 teeth taken out. My front teeth have started to get gappy, and the teeth don’t seem to be closing. I hate the shape and colour too. I think they’re too small. I’ve always had bad teeth since I was little and always been picked on! I’m 18 and have braces now but I just want the problem fixed and want new teeth. Thank you.

What is the Procedure for Teeth Whitening?

Friday, March 20th, 2015
Q.

I am interested in having my teeth whitened. I’m a non smoker and have good oral hygiene. I have also got one crown which is 5th from my front tooth, I’m under the impression that will not change in colour, is that right? What is the procedure and the success rate? Also, is it a fixed price or is the price dependent on the discolouration? What are the options for teeth whitening, is it done over a period of time or as a one off? Thank you.

Is There an Alternative to Having a Dental Plate?

Friday, March 20th, 2015
Q.

I have a tooth on a plate, it is the third one in from the front. I have had it for a long time but it doesn’t feel as secure as before. I have been advised to have an implant by my dentist, and I can’t have a bridge as the other teeth are not too strong and are filled quite heavily. But I would rather have another single tooth, due to the expense. Is there a procedure where the tooth can be put on with 2 clips attached to the two surrounding teeth, rather than a plate? I would be grateful for any advice.

Are Emax Veneers Good Quality Veneers?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015
Q.

I had CEREC veneers done 2.5 years ago. Last week one broke off (it was my UL4) it came off whilst eating a soft bread roll & had snapped in two (the larger bit I rescued the small top bit I accidentally swallowed) I went back to the dentist who carried out the work and there is a new dentist there who informed me that the tooth in question has little enamel left, it is mainly dentin. I’d like to have the veneer replaced but the dentist can’t guarantee it will bond, and if it comes off I’ll have to pay £550 again for another one. He plans to use an Emax veneer, are these good quality reputable veneers? He did say a crown is another option (at the same cost, however this may result in needing root canal later, again costing money). I’m unsure as to what would be the best option and wonder if there should be any guarantee? My original CEREC came with a 2 year guarantee but I now seem to be getting offered nothing and ultimately fear I could end up spending £500+ on one tooth more regularly than I’d like to.

How Much Would Dental Implants Cost?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015
Q.

Hi. I’m really upset about my teeth, as in constantly thinking and being upset about them. I don’t feel like myself at all. I’m quiet young still, and have had quiet a lot of work in the past. I recently got told I’m going to lose one of my teeth, which really has upset me and I cant stop thinking about it. I also need root canal but they said even if they do root canal they might not be able to save the tooth because it’s really infected. I’ve had crowns in the past. I will also need fillings in a couple of my teeth. Now I don’t know what to do. The cost is going to be so much and I don’t know what to do. Even if I get the problem sorted my teeth will still look horrid. I don’t know what my options are. What is best to do because I’m feeling very stuck and trapped. I think I’m going to need dental implants inside my mouth. How much would that cost? Thank you.

My Teeth and Gums are in Poor Condition. What Can Be Done?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015
Q.

Hi, I would like to know what treatments are available for me. I have have no back teeth on the top and just my back ones on the bottom and they are rotting away. My front ones have small cavities in different teeth. I really need help and want some good news that there is something available for me. I’m really embarrassed and depressed about how bad I’ve let them get. I’m always getting sore throats and pains, and my gums are not feeling in great condition. If I don’t get help now I will have no teeth left very soon. I’m so insecure it’s draining my life.

How Much Would it Cost to Have a Full Set of Top Teeth Placed?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015
Q.

Hi. I’m 26 years old and a mum of 3. I need some help. I have 6 teeth missing on top and as it stands now, the ones that are left are all broken. My front tooth is snapped in 3 places and just hanging by the root. It moves every time I eat, talk, drink and even when I’m coughing. I hate it so much, I just want it to end. I am scared of dentists, my dentist has messed up so much. I feel so down and depressed because of it. I am always in pain and nothing helps. I am on painkillers all the time, I hate it. I can’t eat or talk properly. I don’t even like talking to people. How much would it cost to have a full set of teeth on top?

How Can I Get Rid of Yellow Lines on my Teeth?

Friday, March 13th, 2015
Q.

I had my two front teeth filled as I had a gap. Now I have two yellow lines on my front teeth you can see really clearly. I have tried evey toothpaste there is and none of them work. I don’t want to have anything else done to them. I’m a bit gutted about the fact that I went to my dentist with nice white teeth and now I hate them. When I spoke to my dentist he said there is nothing I can do. Gutted! Please tell me how to get rid of it.

Should I Whiten My Teeth Before Replacing my Crowns?

Thursday, March 12th, 2015
Q.

Good evening. I have purchased a deal online to get my crowns re-done with a lighter colour. I would like laser teeth whitening and I know this does not work on fake teeth hence the reason for my purchase of new crowns. However, I am doing the procedures separately as I found a separate deal on Groupon for £79 for Zoom! teeth whitening in Kensington. Should I get the whitening done before replacing the crowns, and will it be OK that the procedures are separate? Also is Zoom! a good make? Thank you.

My Crown Looks and Feels Too Big. Is This Normal?

Thursday, March 12th, 2015
Q.

Hello. I had a lower right incisor crown fitted and it appears and feels too big for my mouth, it also shows metal at the back of tooth and you can see a black outline were my gum is. Is this normal? I cannot close my teeth together or they rub off each other. It looks to big when you look at the back and feel the front with your finger. I’m very disappointed with the work that was carried out. What should I do and how should it look? Thank you.
