Hello Dr Moore. I have two loose teeth together at the front bottom due to a previous infection. My dentist wants to make me a plate for this, I would like to explore having implants to replace them once I have had my original teeth removed, however I wondered how I would locate a cosmetic surgeon that would come highly recommended and give a quality service, without being at the top end of the price market? I’d like to hear from you and I hope you can help.
My front two teeth are angled forward, as if pushed out due to sucking my thumb too much and the two teeth at either side of those are too small and sit slightly back. These are the only four teeth with which I have a problem. What can be done to bring them into line without a brace? I hate the shape of the four teeth and would like them replaced, are crowns the best option or would a dental bridge be suitable? And what would be the expected price? Hello Andrew. I had my treatment started in 2006. They told me I had to pay 3500 for 3 bridges I had to be transferred to a hospital dentist whilst they put braces on. I had braces on for 4 years for a gap in the front 2 teeth and since they last tightened them I have a dead nerve. The tooth’s going black and I have a broken back tooth. When they took my braces off I have a bigger gap than I did when I started. Now they are say they can’t do anything else to them and I don’t know how to get it sorted can you help please? Thank you.
Hello Andrew. My question is about braces, if you could please do your best to help me answer. I started off with okay teeth only one of my eye teeth was quite high in my gum. So then I got braces and I have had them for nine months now, and my teeth are pretty straight. Almost perfect and my bite is pretty good also, he has me started with an elastic in the very back that is just shifting my tooth a bit. How much longer do you think I will have braces? Thank you!
I have recently had a treatment with the Inman Aligner. At the moment I am wearing my removable retainer – I was told I should wear it for 3 months and then will be fitted a permanent one.
One of my lateral incisors is not quite in line and I wanted my teeth perfectly straight. I spoke to my dentist about this and he said he can reshape my tooth so it will appear straight. But after I have been wearing my retainer for 2 weeks my other lateral incisor moved about 1 mm and is slightly behind my central incisor. How disappointing. I am starting to regret ever having the treatment.
My dentist said if this is a problem for me he can refer me to another orthodontist so I can get fixed braces. But I assume, this means I would be paying for the treatment all over again? Can you please help me and advise what are my options if the problem won`t be rectified by my dentist? I heard people getting clear aligner to tweak their teeth but my dentist isn`t suggesting this to me. Obviously I am not willing to pay for fixed braces, once I have paid for the Inman Aligner already.
Hi Dr Moore. I have a very slight gap appearing between my front two teeth. It’s not noticeable from far away but I know it’s there. I don’t believe there was a gap before. Can you please tell me what this is or why this is happening? What do I need to have done to bring them together again. It’s actually beginning to annoy me. I would like to know what my options are and how much treatment to repair this would cost. I’m afraid of ending up with a big gap between my teeth.

Hello. I have a polyp in my nose which makes me breathe out my mouth most of the time, which is causing mouth dryness and bad breath. I try to drink water but my mouth gets dry super quick. I will get my polyp surgically removed soon, but not yet. When my polyp’s removed will the bad breath go away? Also I have a post nasal drip and just wondering, will chewing gum mask the smell of bad breath and post nasal drip, so will you be able to smell it while chewing gum. I use a tongue scraper but that doesn’t help much as the bacteria quickly breeds again after a while. Also, about braces, I have baby teeth, but my adult teeth are awfully crooked. I’m 13. Can I have braces with my baby teeth in my mouth?
Hello Andrew. I’m 14 turning 15 and my teeth are pretty straight for the most part but my incisors are a bit crooked but they look straight. My problem is that I have a misplaced mid-line because I sucked my thumbs for 11 years. I just noticed a couple weeks ago. I measured it and it’s about 3.5mm off. It also is very irritating to bite because the lip also feels weird. My mum pointed out that my face is now a bit asymmetrical. Will my dentist allow me to get braces? I hope I can, I really need this fixed. Thank you on advance for your reply.
Hi Mark. I was just wondering how much teeth straightening would cost. I did have braces when I was 16 but my teeth have spaced out since then. How long would the procedure take and what is the likely cost. What are the different prices for each brace treatment? Invisible braces, fixed braces e.g. and so on? Which is the cheapest and does that include everything involved in the treatment. Would I go straight to an orthodontist for this, or would I get a referral through my dentist first? Thanks.

I have had a brace in the past but it didn’t work properly due to my age I think, I’m 26 years old and I just want to experience a nice smile for once. Do you think this treatment can help me?
