hi, i am 16, and my teeth are awful.. i do not want to go through the trouble with braces and just want to have a lovely smile. however that canot happen with my teeth all over the place i would just like cosmetic dentistry and them to be sorted in a short period of time rather than years is this possible ? thanks.,

What cheap alternative is there to invisalign to fix protruding teeth?

Hi My left canine tooth has grown out of place so protrudes from the front if the gum. I’m 33 now however when I was younger I had a removeable brace that started to make a gap behind it in order to allow the tooth to move down. Unfortunately I didnt complete the treatment. I have been to a couple of dentists now and have only been given a brace as an option. I am really self conscious about my smile, but also Im conscious that my treatment should not make me feel even less confident. I have been quoted 4,000 pounds for Invisalign and I just simply cannot afford this. Really what I would like to know are, all possible treatment options and the best way forward. Is it normal that daughter has been given retainer before braces?

Hello,my daughter had been waiting two years for a brace. The first year we found she had never actualy been refered which was a mistake on the dentist part. We were quickly sent to an orthodontic’s who said due to funding it would be 12-18mths. This was April 2009. I went back in January 2010 and was told there was no funding for the next year on complaining and discussing the situation. I was told that they would fit a brace today 2/2/10 on going today they have fitted a removable retainer for 6-9mths. Is this normal practice, she will then have to have a fixed brace for 12-18mths. I thought retainers were fitted at the end. Please answer honsetly as I feel misinformed.,

Can I have braces if I get implants first?

I am 36 and recently started dental work, I have a dental phobia which I am trying to overcome and due to this I didn’t go for around 20 years, I have a crowded upper arch and have been told I may need sarpe, also I have an underbite so may also need Lefort/Bsso surgery to realign my arches. I have lost my bottom right, second molar as my wisdom grew into it and damaged it, it did sit in front of the wisdom tooth, both my lower wisdoms have been pulled ready to clear space for bsso I believe. The question I ask is I need braces to align my teeth before surgery, can my bottom arch still be fitted with a brace as now it’s in effect, loopsided, one extra tooth on one side, also if I have an implant can that be braced, or is this fitted after all the brace work? Thanks for your help, sorry for the long question.,
