Hello Dr Hughes. I have extremely bad teeth because of drug abuse and from never looking after them properly in the past. There are more fillings than there is enamel now, and I also have seven crowns. I am not in any pain or discomfort or anything like that and I have been looking after my mouth properly now that I am drug- and alcohol- free. Would it be possible for me to have all of my teeth extracted and get All On 4 done on the same day, or would I have to wait for the gums to heal before a dentist could start the All On 4? Hey Dr Hughes. I have really horrible teeth that make me feel very self-conscious. The ones next to my front teeth stick out and it’s irritated me for years. My dentist made a mistake with previous treatment and tried to charge me a lot of money to fix them, which I couldn’t afford at the time as I was only young. The appearance of my teeth makes me feel very insecure and I dream about having the perfect smile so I can feel more confident in myself. If I have veneers placed over my bad teeth will they rot underneath? I’m 20 years old and I don’t smoke but I don’t want veneers that will not last. When my mother was living I had what my dentist use to call the perfect smile. My mother use to make sure I took extra good care of my teeth. She use to always say your smile is the first thing people see so you should always care about your smile. When she passed away I completely stopped caring for my teeth. I barely brushed them and I hardly ever flossed, I never liked doing that anyway as my mom use to do that. But I was wondering If I have really rotten teeth and some that have broken off, is it still possible for me to have a beautiful smile again like I use to when I was Fourteen.
I went to the dentist with pain which was going up my face and in my ear and when I bit on the tooth it hurt and felt like spongy. I also occasionally get a funny taste in my mouth. The tooth was one that I have had root treatment for last year which I had a few problems as I have a small mouth! Well that was what I was told and this was done through a crown(the crown wasn’t removed to do the treatment) When I went to the dentist today all they could say was that the tooth was decaying and couldn’t see much else wrong, basically try antibiotics to see if they would help but the only option would be to remove the tooth or retry root treatment privately for£400.00. That’s out, but would removing the tooth really be the only option? I have a fear of the dentist and I had a lot of problems with my teeth and required a LOT of treatment and I am only 46 and don’t have many of my own teeth.
Hi, I had problems when I was a kid with the dentist my parents picked and since then I’ve never really had much trust in dentists. I want this to change. Since I’ve had kids my teeth keep getting worse and I don’t know what to do please help. I have just been to a new dentist today as I’d lost a filling at the weekend, when he had a look he wasn’t happy with my teeth at all and said who was you’re last dentist and do you eat a lot of sugar food and drink loads of tea when I told him, he looked at me and didn’t believe me.
I’m a veggie, don’t eat sweets and won’t give them the kids, I only drink water as don’t like tea or coffee since my first child, I don’t smoke or drink.

Hello Dr. Please please help me. My teeth have been stealing my confidence since i was a kid. My 2 upper cuspid are so pointed. Like a fang. And the left cuspid was not in proper place. my 2 lower cuspid are pointed but not that much. My teeth are stained due to coffee and im so tired of using whitening products. I want to have braces so my left upper cuspid will be pushed back. But i realize it wont solve the problem with my pointed and stained teeth. It wont vanish. Still like a vampire. I read that veneers can fix this. My 4 upper teeth in front are also not in good shape. The two in front are big. The tooth beside my left cuspid on the right is so small. Im planning to have my teeth bleach before getting veneers for my upper teeth only as ive read here but my dentist suggested to have my teeth in veneers up and down front only because if the bleached teeth will get stained again it will leave the veneers teeth white only and the rest yellow. I dont want to get veneer teeth in yellow color.But its so expensive, up and down veneer front only. What should i do? With my pointed and misaligned cuspid and stained teeth. Im willing to pay but up and down veneers are so costly and im in a really tight budget. Im so desperate to fix this problem to finally gain confidence. Please please help me. Thank you so much!
