Can you use veneers to correct an overbite problem?

Q.
Hello doctor can you use veneers to correct a problem overbite – I have been advised to have 6 upper veneers and 8 lower venners and to have all the work completed at once ( in a series of visits) as the dentist would be correcting a very problematic overbite and grinding problem. Surely, with this kind of problem would veneers on the front lower teeth be advisable in the first place? and what options do I have for improving the appearance of the lower teeth and to stop the wear ffrom the grinding? Many thanks for your time

When grinding and bite problems are present , the dentist needs to be very careful with the veneer reconstruction. I would advise you to seek advice and treatment from a cosmetic dentist VERY expereinced in these treatments to ensure you get the best result and that any potential problems with the bite are managed well. In a lot of cases treatment with orthodontics is better before the veneers are done, but a good cosmetic or restorative dentist will advise you about this
