Can you tell if a root canal is a failure by an xray?
Q. Can you tell if a root canal is a failure by an xray? Also would there ever be a case where a root canal specialist would not give a shot to numb the area before they explore during root canal?
A. It is possible to tell a root canal treatment has failed from an x-ray. If the tooth has already had a root canal then it is essentially dead and doesn’t always need numbing.
