Can you recommend treatment to straighten crooked teeth?

Q.
Hi, I was never referred to an orthodontist as a kid although my teeth were crooked. I’d had teeth out to make room for another one to grow down but it never has and sticks out into my lip. The older iv got the worse my confidence has become. I am now 20years old and I hate smiling infront of people and avoid meeting new people and feel I my smile let’s me down. Iv been looking at lingual braces but have found they are to expensive. Do you think I would be able to have them or have something done on the nhs? And do you think braces are the best option for me?.
A.
Dear Enquirer,
There is no need to suffer the social consequences of crooked teeth/unattractice smile in this day and age.
You are a young adult and have a whole life ahead of you to enjoy all the benefits of a healthy, beautiful smile. Although lingual braces are completely invisible, they are the most expensive way of having orthodontic treatment. At Sparkle Dental Boutique, most of our patients opt for fixed ceramic braces which are fitted to the front surfaces of your teeth, but the braces are discreet. You only see one thin wire across the front as the rest of the brace is clear. This option is almost half the price of lingual braces.
Braces are not available on the NHS for adults as they are considered a cosmetic treatment.
I urge you to follow through with your initial enquiries and get some help to improve the quality of your life.
Regards,
Sunita
