Q. The first double tooth on my right hand sie is a baby tooth and there isnt an adult tooth underneath to replace it (I am 27 years old) I have just had a filling replaced as it had cracked (filling was first done at least 10 years ago) and I was experiencing painful sensitivity. The filling seems to have gone ok, only time will tell but apparently if this hasnt worked I might need root canal in which case I understand I will probably lose the tooth. If this is the case, will the root canal work and if I lose the tooth what are my options? Would I need an implant and approximately how much would that cost? I am looking to take out some insurance to cover any future expense but I am having trouble finding one that will cover cosmetic dentistry which apparently this is, can you recommend anyone?
