Can veneers help to change colour of gums?

Q. Hello; My tooth get discoloured due to tetra cyclic stain from my childhood. Recently I heard about veneer and am Thinking of doing it. I need an expert opinion about it. Also I want to know whether the gum color can also be changed by using veneer? Regards,
