Can my son be treated by a cosmetic dentist, or will he have to go to a hospital?

Q.
My son was told that he could have dental implants to replace the 3 teeth, two dead and one lost, (which he damaged when he was 13) when he was fully grown at 18. Because his jaw also got damaged in this accident, he was told he would possibly need a bone transplant.

My question is, can a cosmetic dentist deal with this, or does this require hospital treatment? And how does this affect the overall cost?

A.
The fees charged vary from person to person and there is no set pattern. However it is reasonable to get an opinion & quote from more than one source before deciding. We restore trauma cases in our practice, some cases are grafted ( bone transplant ) and some are managed by other means. A clinical assesment is needed to see how the smile works / what is seen as the lips move, etc etc . A cosmetic DEntist may be more “tuned in” to this , if a large bone graft is needed a hospital might have the edge.

Contact the practice if you want a free initial assesment

Hope this Helps
