can my dentures fit better

Q. I have very little gums for my dentures to hold on to, dental pastes do not work. Therefore eating is a problem. I had them relined and it helped for a short time. Is there someway to make dentures that would fit or is there any way to attach the dentures? and if there is how much would it cost. Any information would be appreciated, as it is nice to be able to eat once in a while.

A. Dental implants are often used to help anchor dentures. Websites such as www.adi.org.uk will provide you with some options. Cost of a 2 implant / full denture £4-6000 or (if both jaws are treated this way £7-10,000 )
However you almost certainly have limited bone avaialable for implants and you would need a thorough examination before proceeding.

a free initial assesment with a dentist is available at some practices, including our own. Contact the practice mentioning the weblink if you are interested.
