Can implants prevent further bone and tooth loss?

Q. Hi – I am a very worried 40 year old. I have recently had extensive perodontic treatment (deep clean) and been told I have bone loss. My worry is that I will eventually lose my teeth and am particulalry worried about the front teeth. What can I do now? – Can I have implants to prevent further loss and thereby reducing my chances of having implants? Thanks ,
A. Implants are the best alternative to natural teeth. If the bone loss is severe we can can re grow bone before placeing new teeth. You should go and find a good implantologist and have an assessment.
