Q. Hi, I have a small broken (upper) tooth that has nearly half missing. It doesn’t hurt. Not long ago a dentist suggested it be pulled, but it is visible when I smile and I do not want an obvious gap. Is there anything I can do to save it? And if not, what is available to fill the gap? Thank you.
A. Hi If your dentist thinks it needs taking out then it probably isn’t possible to save it.
To replace the tooth you could use an implant- an independent tooth held in by a titanium post
a bridge- which may entail drilling down the adjacent teeth or a denture- a removable tooth held with a plate
Hope this helps Regards Andrew
