Can I Have My Chipped Teeth Fixed By The NHS?

Q.
Hi, I wondered if you would be able to offer me some advice? My teeth are badly chipped, in fact they are chipped down nearly half way. My dentist keeps commenting on how bad they look and had suggested I should have bonding at££100 per tooth! I have just had a baby and my teeth have become loose as well,my dentist suggested a periodontist at £50 for consultation and £59 per x ray!! I can not afford any of this treatment – can any of this be fixed on the NHS?I don’t know what else I can do, it’s not just for cosmetic reasons that I need these chips fixing. They’re causing my teeth to feel sensitive and I can’t eat very well either. I can’t afford to go back to this dentist, maybe if I could set up a finance scheme or something, perhaps? Any help will be great, thank you.

Hi, thank you for your question. Cosmetic treatment isn’t available on the NHS but you might be able to get some of the treatment done without paying, ask your dentist to see what they can do. I hope this helps. Regards, Andrew.
