can i have lumineers placed on top of porcelain crowns
Q. I have porcelain crowns on my fron 4 teeth. Can I get Lumineers on top of them to help with a gap that has begun?
A. Lumineers are made from porcelain as are normal veneers. We can sometimes fuse veneers to existing crowns. I have done it myself over existing bridge work. It will depend on the integrity of the crowns that you have and the reason of your gum recession. It is best to go and see a cosmetic dentist to find all your options. Sometimes it is best to have the crowns replaced but it is very difficult to tell without seeing your teeth.
Kind Regards
