can i get teeth implants for free

Q. Hi after many attempts to save my 2 front upper teeth that had been knocked loose I now have a chrome contraption that is fixed around 2 back teeth and I cant stand it. It tastes horrid is always needing cleaning behind after eating and is like a magnet to some foods which is very embarrassing. I get free treatment as I am now disabled do you think my dentist would be able to put in 2 permanent ‘teeth’ that will not have a plate?

A. Unfortunately it is unlikely on the NHS.  A permanent bridge or implants may be possible but you will need to discuss this with your dentist
