can a veneer be attached to a white filling
Q. Can dental veneer adhere to a tooth surface covered with filling as well as a natural tooth surface? Is any other solution recommendable than a complete crown? Kindest Regards,
A. A veneer can be bonded to a white filling by sand blasting the fillings surface to produce a microscopically roughend surface. However I would only recommend this if the filling was only small and the final veneer complete4ly covered it. For very heavily filled teeth a crown is often the best solution .
