Can A Person with Epilepsy Have Dental Implants?

Q.
Hello. My dad is epileptic and we wanted to know if he can have the screw-in teeth? His teeth are very bad and he has gum disease and some teeth missing. He is very concerned about his teeth and his grandchildren always point it out to him. Is there anything that can be done? It is through no fault of his own as he brushes and flosses his teeth twice a day. It is really getting him down, there must be something that can be done surly?
A.
Hello, thank you for your question. It might be possible but he will need a full assessment of his bone and general medical condition by a recognised implant dentist. I suggest he finds a local dentist who carries out implants and to contact them for a full assessment. Kind regards, Andrew.
