Q. My 11 year old son is having a metal fixed brace fitted shortly to correct his front teeth on the NHS, I have asked the orthodontist if I can pay the difference to have the white brace fitted but they state that he can only go privete or NHS and cannot mix the two – is this correct?
A. This is correct as it blurs the treatment on who is responsible for the treatment, so he is correct in sticking to this rue.
