Can a gum graft fix my long looking tooth?

Q. Hi, I have had sever gum rececession leading to 1 tooth appearing very long. next to this tooth the gum has receeded enough to leave a black triangle. i have heard about the gum graft for the ‘long’ tooth. can something be done to fix the black triangle appearance by these teeth?,
A. Yes the gum can be put back by a graft, this procedure is done by a periodontist and i recomend you do do see a specialist for this procedure. Should you wish to arrange a consultation this can be arranged at www.kissdental.co.uk

I have receeding gums. I have had this problem for years and believe its hereditary. I have had gum graphs probably about 10 years ago. The graphs at this point are gone as my gums on almost all of my teeth are slowly disappearing. Is the only way to solve this problem to continue getting graphs? Its very painful to do that and I am not looking forward to having it done again. I am 35.

I would advise you to go see a periodontist and get some more information about the procedure from them.
