Braces have stained my teeth, would you recommend veneers or lumineers?

Q.
Hey Dr. Mark,  A female,I live in Jordan middle east, am 23 with a very bad experience with braces for 8years, which caused badly stained teeth, and i have been using dental composite (teeth facing) for the past 5 – 6 years.
I hate the way my teeth look, i wish to re-size them and make them brighter and get a perfect smile.

oh and i have 2 implants i did them 3 weeks ago.

My main question what do you think is better in my case lumineers or Vaneers? and for how long they last?
Many Thanks,

A.
Hello Farah

Lumineers are a brand of veneers that are very thin and cover teeth for minor corrections. Most cosmetic dentists offer regular veneers which can be as thin and look very real. I would suggest seeking out a cosmetic dentist that has considerable veneer experience and ask to see some of their work and that you feel comfortable with. They should make up a template (wax up or prototype) allowing you to see the proposed treatment before starting

With good planning and making sure they fit in the bite and are functional we usually give a lifespan of 10-15 years.

Good luck

Mark
