As a Younger Patient, Can I Have Composite Veneers?
Q.
Hello, I am a 16 year old girl and very conscious of my smile. My dentist says I have a peg lateral and I got a filling to make it look better but now it’s stained. Can I have composite veneers? I’m told I’m too young for porcelain veneers. Do I need drilling? Can it be done without drilling, and is there any harm in them? Can I not choose to have porcelain veneers or replace them when I get older? Please help with advice, I would be grateful.

Hi, thank you for your questions. Composite veneers work well for younger patients, as we don’t usually need to prepare the teeth to fit them. Not all patients are suitable so you would need a full assessment with a cosmetic dentist prior to treatment. Kind regards, Andrew.
