Q. Are PFM crowns removable? I just got two porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns over my canine teeth but HATE them- they look so unnatural (opaque, color doesnt match the rest of my teeth, thick-looking- I look like I am wearing teeth I got at a halloween store)! I wish I had known porcelain crowns were an option. please advise- I am desperate!

A. They are removable but are usually destroyed in the process. If you opt for all porcelain crowns the PFM will be removed and new impressions taken so you’ll be starting again, although by your description this might be a good idea
