Are denture supported implants as good as normal implants?

Q.
my bone is too thin it was suggested to me i could have a denture supported implant . is this my only option?are they as good as normal implants?
A.
Implants are placed in the jaw to support dentures , crowns or bridges. If the bone is too thin you may only be able to have dentures on top of the implants. However sometimes you can have bone grafts to increase the available bone to allow you to have a fixed bridge option.

Hello there! I’ve been researching a lot about dental implant and I’m deciding on which practice to have it done. I have one missing tooth at my lower jaw, to determine whether there is sufficient amount of bone for the implant do you carry out CT scans? If not would you be able to give me a referral for that and at what price? How much do you charge for a standard implant for one tooth and does the price include the abutment and crown/restoration? Lastly which brand of implant does your surgeon use?

i recently had dental implant treatment but i feel like the procedure has failed and my gums near the site of the implant is incredibly painful and bleeds. I have booked to see my dentist to see what he can do, but i just wanted a second opinion on my chances of keeping the implant or the potential i have for receiving another treatment. I am very worried that this could have damaged my jawbone thank you

I’m not sure what’s happening here as it sounds like an infection. Try to go to your dentist asap as it might not be too late to do something. If the implant has failed though, it should be removed straightaway to prevent further bone loss
