am I too old for dental implants
Q. I have had a top set of denture’s for over 20 years and wondering ‘if’ at 59 implants could be fitted?
A. Implants can definately be fit. You would need to go to an implant dentist to find out how much bone is available to place implants in. The minimum number of implants necessary to have an implant retained denture is 2.
The other options are for you to have an implant bridge placed which is fixed in your mouth. This would require 6-8 implants, or you could have individual implants. It all depends on how far you want to go with your treatment.
The best thing to do is to have a consultation with an implant dentist to see what your options are
Kind Regards
