After Years Of Braces Treatment, I Still Have A Deep Overbite. I’d Like Some Feedback On What My Options Are?

Q.
Hello there,

I’m a 24 years old with a deep overbite and since having my braces removed (After 4 years of multiple types of braces) 10 years ago, my teeth have since moved and some are actually in a worse position than they were before I had braces. My overbite was never corrected despite having braces that pulled my jaw forward uncomfortably for months.
I’m becoming increasingly self conscious about my profile and the appearance of my teeth, but these are just cosmetic issues. My jaw aches after eating tough foods like meat and it’s so uncomfortable to bite down properly and make my back teeth touch.

I’m not a full time students with incredibly limited funds but I feel like this is something I have to get corrected for my own health and wellbeing. I’d like some feedback on what my options are in terms of making my teeth and jaw feel more comfortable and natural to me. As I have very little money to spare, if I can afford it, I’d rather correct my overbite before my crooked and protruding teeth as it causes physical pain and discomfort.

Thank you.

A.
Hello, I’m sorry to hear about your dental problems. Yet, without seeing a case such as yours in person I would not be able to advise you on the correct course of action regarding treatment. Your best option is to find an experienced dentist or orthodontist and have them run through your options. Veneers and crowns may work depending on the severity of your dental condition. Most practices and clinics have payment options available and either way you would at least know the exact cost of the treatment you would need. I hope this helps and further information is available through this website. Regards, Marcus.
