Q. With in the past 3-4 years my wisdom teeth have came in, started when I was 18(22 now)and have caused my bottom and now recently top teeth to crowd into each other. I have always had straight teeth and was wondering if I get these wisdom teeth removed will it “re-straighten” my teeth or is it too late? Should I just leave the wisdom teeth there since they are almost all out and get braces or just remove them and hope for the best? Thanks.
A. The wisdom teeth don’t actually cause the crowding. This happens naturally at the same time so they are usually blamed for it. As a result removal of the wisdom teeth won’t cause the teeth to re-straighten. You could still have some sort of brace to straighten the teeth probably keeping the wisdom teeth if they are sound and health. Regards Andrew
