After a tooth has been extracted
Q. After a tooth has been extracted, is there a maximum period of time in which an implant has got to be installed?
A. This depends on the amount of infection in the tooth and on your gum and bone levels. Before you have an implant placed, the surgeon will give you an estimated period of time that the implant can be placed. In some cases it is straight away, in other cases you need to wait a few months.
