is there any permanent retainer that can be put behind the two front teeth to keep them together

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
I had braces the first time when i was in 8th because I had a gap due to a baby tooth that never grew in. I wore a metal retainer for awhile which had a temporary tooth to fill the empty gap that was now where my baby tooth should of been. Once I had the maryland bride put on my teeth were fine for a few years til about 12th grade then they the gap that was in front started to seperate again and the bridge of course started to get loose. Finally I got braces for the second time when i was older(the same orthodontist too) that work out good. I had a invisalign after that which kept them straight but the minute I took it out they moved. Anyway the dentist said I had a piece of tissue or something thats in the gums that no matter how much they move the teeth they will go back. Now that you read my story I want to know is there a permanent retainer that can be put behind the two front teeth to keep them together.

I was wondering if there any orthodontic surgery that widens the jaw?

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I was wondering what a suitable age for placing veneers on teeth is, as I am 16 and my dentist has recommended this as a follow up from my braces, as my main problem is that I have quite a narrow jaw, which I personally really dislike. So my dentist is creating gaps between my teeth in order to fill them up with veneers, though I don’t see this having much effect. And as I have understood I am too old for a rapid palate expander, I was wondering if there was any orthodontic surgery that widens the jaw?

Iam 29yrs old reside in India what would be the best option to replace my missing tooth

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi, Iam 29yrs old. I reside in India. I had an accident 1 month ago. I lost 1 tooth on the top center and 2 centers on the lower line. It also stuck the other center tooth on the top and one more beside it as well as one on the lower line next to the canine. These are still strong but got a root canal done as recommended by my dentist. To replace the missing tooth what could be the best option. What would be more advisable to do? A bridge or removable dentures? Iam also worried about loosing the bone structure at the spaces of the missing teeth. Will this bone loose lead to the neighbouring teeth getting loose over a period of time? If so how long will that be? Thankyou…

I just had dental implant there is an overjet of upper to lower jaw can alignment be done?

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
I have just had thre implants done in my upper jaw – positions 112 and am awaiting the crowns to be fitted in 5 months. There is an overjet of upper to lower jaw and some of my upper teeth could do with alignment. Question – can alignment be done whilst awaiting crowns or can it be done after and what sort of treatment would you recommend ?

I am thinking of getting 2 white gold tooth removable case for fashion is it possible?

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
I/m thinking about geting 2 white gold tooth removable cas for fashiopn and not any medical purpose. One would be a full white gold tooth cap, and the other an outline white gold tooth cap, also called a window cap as it only frams the tooth. I want to know if this will damage my teeth in anyway if i do the proper hygiene routines? what are the hygiene routines? will it fit and look the same as a crown cap? who do i go to for this procedure (dentist or ?)? how is the procedure performed? How long it may take? and how much is an average cost looking up to for these two different white gold caps?

i am having a plate with one tooth on to cover the gap which is the best option bridges or implants

Monday, May 4th, 2009
Q.
I have an abcess on the site of a previous abcess which was 40 years ago, and I was given a crown then. I have been told I have to lose the tooth (crown)and can have a bridge(I have crowns either side)or an implant, but that implants do not always ‘take’. It is the tooth on the left of my top two front teeth. I am always smiling and would hate to have a gap on show. I am having a plate with one tooth on to cover this gap for 4-6 months when I have to decide whether to have a bridge or an implant. I have had a mini stroke and my balance was affected so I do not like long stints with my head back and mouth open. Yours advice would be very welcome. Thank you in anticipation.
