My dentist tells me I need RCT in my upper front tooth

My new dentist tells me I need RCT in my upper front tooth which is holding my bridge and is supposedly a dead tooth He tells me I have an abscess , no pain experienced.I am petrified the bridged tooth might fracture during RCT and there is no other tooth to which thebridge can be attached as the other front upper tooth is itself being held in place by another bridge. Pse is there any other treatment and is it correct to do RCT on a dead tooth holding a bridge?

my teeth are severely discoloured would veneers help

Hi doc, im a 18 year old student, and despite taking care of my teeth alot more now, and using all these whitening kits, my teeth are severely discoloured, and a few of them have small chips, i recently just had my braces removed, and my teeth have deep stains, the dentist say they are healthy, but i feel really unconfident about them. i wanted to ask wether a normal whitening and a bit of boding would do the trick, or i would need veneers. in comparison they are like the first pictures in the gallery. thanks for the help

I am undergoing a wisdom tooth extraction on monday and have opted for IV sedation. I am worried but do not know why. I know I won’t feel pain because of the local anesthetic and may not remember the procedure because of the amnesic affect of the sedative. What can I expect from IV sedation?

I have a patch on the front of my right front tooth

I have a patch on the front of my right front tooth which was much whiter than the rest of my tooth (and other teeth)when I was younger-but is now going yellow-I’m now 28. Also-in the left side of my mouth, my upper and lower canines are turning outwards and the tooth next to both of these are turning inwards. How could these problems be corrected

i had a crown fitted that needed to be drilled down

Q.
I had a porcelain crown fited yesterday. The dentist was checking my bite and said when I close my teeth together, the crown should not sit ‘proud’ because this would damage the crown. He drilled off the excess of the crown in order for it to sit correctly. This unfortunately means, I have a crown and from underneath the metal post is clearly visible. I am worried about this. Should I have cause for concern? Can the crown be replaced if I am not too happy about the metal post showing through. The tooth in question is at the side of my mouth. Six tooth in from the front. I would value your advice please.

Hello doctor, I have been thinking very hard recently about getting veneers. I am quite young, nearly 17 years old, my teeth aren’t that bad although I have about 7 fillings and about 2 chipped teeth and the shape of my teeth, everything about them really brings my confidents done. I was just wondering, as I am quite young, could I still get veneers? How much do they cost? Would anyone help me pay for them, the NHS? Are there any disadvantages of getting veneers?
