The tooth to the right of my front teeth is set back

The tooth to the right of my front teeth is set back and makes my smile look very very uneven,i have spoken to my dentist who says the tooth is healthy so he would not build it up with veneer (as another dentist suggested).Im twenty three and although i would be happy to wear a brace to correct this problem i am ware they are very costly. Please do you have any suggestions on the most effective and economical way to help. THANK YOU

Hello Komal, I’ve never been very happy with my teeth. I’m only 24 but recently they have started to weaken and I have noticed a visual apperance in them changing. I have numerious amounts of fillings and have had to have one tooth removed. This is due to lack of care of my teeth in my teenage years. Obviously I can’t repair the damage that was done but I don’t want it to get any worse. What can i do to not only improve my smile but also fix my teeth? Help please…. Kind regards

one of my veneers has come off and one is chipped

Dear Dr. Glaister, I had veneers 4 years ago. One fell off in August 2008. Last night whilst talking on the phone one of them chipped leaving approximately half of the veneer remaining. This morning whilst brushing my teeth, a veneer on a different tooth also chipped. My Dentist (who’s a friend) is happy to carry out the remedial works today at a discounted rate but I’m very concerned that it may be something he’s not doing properly. I’ve not bumped my mouth nor eaten anything particularly veneer-breaking. Before I call him I wanted to seek advice so I do look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I really do hope you can help, I won’t smile until you do :0) Many thanks
