Hi what advice would you give to me, someone whose teeth are deteriorating through gum disease. i am 43, my teeth are receding and i do not want to wear a denture. would it be better to start removing and replacing my teeth gradually, rather than lose many at once ? yours gratefully

I recently received a trauma to my two upper front teeth

I recently received a trauma to my two upper front teeth which resulted in one snapping quite high up and the other discolouring. The snapped tooth has been fitted with a carbon-fibre post and the orginal tooth adhered back on but regularly comes loose being very irritating and leaving an unpleasant taste in my mouth. I was charged £198 for this procedure but am now considering crowns but my dentist says they will be £600 each is this correct. Should I not receive a crown for no further charge as his recommended treatment has not worked?

Since losing my partner to cancer I have no confidence

Since losing my partner to cancer I have no confidence. I have always hated my teeth, but now I’m obsessed. My dentist tells me, even with lottery money, nothing could be done due to my bad gums. I recently had my teeth whitened in the states & already I’m a little happier, although a long way to go. Am i to accept my dentist advise Or is there something that could be done Please reply Fond regards

Several years ago I had two veneers fitted to my front teeth to help give them a straighter look (they sloped backwards) and an upper crown and it much improved the look. However they have fallen off so many times over the years and I dont eat anything that I have to bite down on. My dentist is NHS and says she will fit crowns for me but after the veneer experience I am not sure what to do. Can you advise me. Also the gum line over the crown is now showing the metal post and I would like to avoid that.

I have a bridge, on upper part of mouth, that covers 4 teeth

Hi! I have a bridge, on upper part of mouth, that covers 4 teeth (two missing teeth in the middle of the bridge). I am feeling slight movement on the back part (4th tooth from back moler)of the bridge. What do you suggest I do? the bridge starts with my fang tooth on the right side of my mouth which is intact completely. the only movement is the cemented part towards the molers. is there a way a dentist can remove it and re-cement. The bridge is about 8 years old. Thank you for your time.
