Apical Foramen
Apical foramen is the hole in the apex of the root of the tooth where the nerves and blood vessels enter the tooth. Blood must travel to the nerves in order for them to be able to carry out their functions; primarily, the nerves carry messages from the sensory organs to the brain via the central nervous system. Each root has a foramen.
