Adhesion

Adhesion refers to the process of sticking one material to another. In dentistry, adhesives are commonly used to bond materials together; this includes attaching porcelain veneers to existing teeth and inserting gold or silver into the tooth in the form of fillings or restorations. Adhesive dentistry often eliminates the need to extract a tooth and prevents further tooth decay.
