Acrylic Resin

Acrylic resin is a form of cement used for restoring and filling teeth and anchoring crowns; it is supplied in liquid and powder form. The liquid form is composed of methyl methacrylate in addition to an inhibitor and an activator. The powder form is composed of poly-methyl methacrylate; this performs as a filler, plasticiser and polymerisation initiator. Acrylic resin is also used to make dentures.
